Florist’s Garden

At the point of intersection between the new residence, the existing residence and the floral workshed a central garden was conceived as a productive flower garden and as an extension to the client’s flower market business.

Rhythmical and structured rows of turf and planting bring focus to the central courtyard where decorative gravels, stone, trees, trellis and seating are anchored to the formal lines of the central square and stone accessways and stairs leading in and out.

The floral qualities of the central garden contrast with the simple grading and garden structure associated with the new residence and pool terrace where gentle turf banks give way to a broader bushland landscape.
