Cecil Andrews High School STEM Landscape

Echoing the objectives of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) centre, REALMstudios have developed a clearly articulated landscape of new student spaces with improved amenity & access that connect into the broader school campus. A language of diagonal connections derived from computer engineering establish a strong visual and spatial structure centering on the new STEM centre. Forms are expressed by utilizing a cost effective combination of concrete, gravel and bitumen that wrap larger areas of turf and structured plantings. Remnant mature trees alongside new tree plantings create an inviting area in which formal and informal activities and gathering can take place outside of the classroom.
