willetton skate plaza

With the recent opening of the new Willetton Skate Plaza the local community has gained a remarkable and energising youth facility, building upon the large indoor sports stadium and stage 1 forecourt.

Forming the second stage in the Burrendah Park master plan, the skate plaza now completes and forms a unified and high quality  public realm interface between street and stadium. REALMstudios delivered the master plan vision and following completion of stage 1 led a full consultant team to complete stage 2 documentation. 

REALMstudios also performed a superintendent role on Stage 2 to assist the City of Canning site and contractual management. Director Damien Pericles also provided guidance to the public art procurement process.
The vision for a highly integrated skate + public plaza within a broader landscape framework, together with an integrated art strategy has been delivered with great flare and innovation.

The project has been an instant community success.
