Emma Maher - Practitioner of Landscape Architecture

We are delighted to announce the promotion of Emma Maher from Graduate to Practitioner of Landscape Architecture. This promotion reflects Emma’s commitment to design excellence, her collaborative and creative approach, and her contributions to REALMstudios.

Emma joined the team in 2024 after completing her Master of Landscape Architecture at UWA. Her passion for accessible and inclusive design is consistently reflected in her work, where she champions landscapes that foster belonging and express care for both people and natural systems. Based in Perth, her cross-studio experience has seen her contribute to national projects of varying scale and complexity, including the SHE Wellness Cancer Centre and the Kangaroo Bay Hotel in Tasmania.

One of Emma’s earliest REALMstudios projects, the ReWild Perth Demonstration Garden, has recently been completed and opened. Seeing this project move from concept to a thriving planted landscape has provided a meaningful early milestone in her career.

A true member of the ‘many hats club’, Emma has also contributed to REALMstudios’ national marketing and communications activities, drawing on her previous qualifications and experience in the sector. She is now transitioning out of this role to focus solely on her landscape architecture practice. We couldn’t be happier to have Emma as part of the team and congratulate her again on this well-deserved promotion and recognition of her talent.
