QUT Winter Studio Exhibition

The Saturated Terrains exhibition celebrates the outcome of a two weeks intensive winter studio curated by REALMstudios and QUT Architecture and Built Environment, bringing together landscape architecture and architecture students working with industry partners in an atelier setup.

The design investigation explored Kedron Brook Creek and the Toombul Shopping Centre Site within the context of Brisbane's climate crisis and flood resilience in the wake of the 2022 floods. The students explored new ways of seeing, thinking, urban programming and modes of co-existence in an increasingly saturated terrain for now and into the future. .

The industry partners contributing to the students' design investigation included REALMstudios, Brisbane City Council, JDA Co, Bligh Tanner and Alluvium.
