The Dunes is a thoughtfully conceived development that celebrates its coastal context through an integrated landscape and urban design approach. The design echoes the natural rhythm of the sand dunes along Scarborough’s foreshore, using soft, undulating forms and layered plantings to create a seamless transition between built and natural environments. Public realm elements—such as inviting open spaces, landscaped plazas, and softly recessed green buffers—offer a gentle dialogue between the private residential areas and the active beachfront, reinforcing community connectivity while preserving the intrinsic beauty of the coastline.

In addition to its sculptural landscape treatment, the urban design at The Dunes has been meticulously planned to integrate with and enhance its surrounds. The project transforms an underutilized site into a vibrant urban node, reactivating local streetscapes with pedestrian-friendly pathways and communal spaces that echo the region’s coastal heritage. With expansive vistas of the ocean and restored native dune ecosystems, the development not only complements the existing urban fabric of Scarborough but also sets a new benchmark in coastal living that balances modern luxury with the timeless charm of its natural setting.
