Call for Expressions of Interest from Emerging Noongar Artists

APPARATUS is calling for Emerging Noongar Artists interested in working with the design team (including REALMstudios) to develop an artwork telling Noongar stories. Winin Katidjin Bilya is Noongar for Life Knowledge River. 

Curtin University is currently undergoing significant expansion, with a strategy for the Bentley campus to become a vibrant, Live In Learning village - a shift away from the typical university campus. As part of this development, Curtin and Lendlease are collaborating on a public artwork in the courtyard of the new School of Design and the Built Environment, B418 (architecture and planning).

EOI close: 11am Wednesday 29 July 2020

We are looking for an Artist who 

·  is an emerging Noongar Artist; 

·  has good design/artwork skills; and  

·  is willing to learn and work in a team. 

The successful Artist will receive:

·  a fee of $28,000 (excl. GST); 

·  professional photos and video documentation of the project. 

·  Artists are invited to submit an EOI for this opportunity via email according to the documents available for download.
